Synthetic brake fluid.

Can be used together with DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 5.1. Exceeds the American standard DOT 4 and meets the specifications of leading car manufacturers (BMW, VW, MAN) for brake fluids for cars and trucks.

Why XADO DOT-4 contains revitalizer:

The revitalizer contained in XADO DOT-4 forms a very smooth (Ra < 0.06) layer with anti-corrosion properties on the walls of the main and secondary brake cylinder parts and pistons. This prevents the possibility of sludge and corrosion. It increases the reliability and consistency of the brake system. Even with dangerous moisture levels, the risk of brake failure when using XADO DOT-4 is reduced by 2–2.5 times compared to the use of brake fluid without revitalizer.

Why change brake fluid?

Brake fluid is hygroscopic, i.e., the fluid can absorb moisture.

New brake fluid has a very high (above 260 °C) boiling point and remains incompressible even when the brakes are intensively heated during braking. The fluid immediately transmits the driver's impulse, pressing the brake pedal, to the brake pads. Over time, moisture that enters through microscopic cracks and pores of sealing devices settles in the brake fluid, reducing its boiling point. If the brake pads overheat, the brake fluid may boil. When the fluid boils, vapor and air gas bubbles form. The fluid becomes compressible. The braking impulse from the pedal is not transmitted immediately, and the driver feels that braking slows down.

Boiling point is 160 °C.

After 2–2.5 years of use, the brake fluid should be changed.
